La storia dei Sinclear inizia nella provincia di Novara dove la band si forma nell’autunno del 1999.
Il nucleo originario del gruppo è composto da quattro elementi Giorgio Ferrari - chitarra, Luca Pagani - basso, Giovanni Tizzoni - batteria e Anna Santoro - voce .
Il gruppo si dedica da subito alla produzione di pezzi propri registrando nel dicembre 2001 il primo demo autoprodotto "Via di Qua", sette pezzi di semplice e melodico punk rock registrati in soli due giorni al DR studio di Milano da Diego Ruvidotti. I brani, seppur ad uno stadio embrionale contengono le basi di quello che rimarrà lo stile dei Sinclear fino ad oggi: un suono diretto e melodico e una scelta dei contenuti trattati mai banale.
Tutte le copie prodotte vanno esaurite con l’inizio dell’attività live nei primi mesi del 2002 quando i Sinclear cominciano a esibirsi sui palchi del nord Italia.

Nel 2004 registrano il secondo demo "Melodiazepam" con Franco Fucili , il gruppo comincia a macinare i primi veri chilometri on the road, e a suonare con frequenza grazie anche all’aiuto di gruppi più noti che gli permettono di aprire i loro show (Bambole di Pezza, Thee STP, Sun Eats Hours, Pornoriviste..).
Nello stesso anno la formazione dei Sinclear si allarga con l’arrivo di una seconda chitarra (Mirko Valli). Le idee si fanno più precise, i brani acquistano un suono più definito e carico pur mantenendo la stessa attitudine melodica.
Tra la fine del 2004 e l’inizio del 2005 i Sinclear registrano al Sonichome studio alcuni nuovi pezzi per una nuova demo che verrà sostenuta con un’intensa attività live per tutto l’anno a seguire.

Il 2006 finisce con un importante cambio di formazione: Anna viene sostituita alla voce da Cristian Di Leo.
La band ne esce rinvigorita e i Sinclear ritornano nel giugno 2007 al Sonichome Studio di Diego Cattaneo per registrare "Eat AT Chef Sinclear" : otto pezzi veloci, potenti e diretti: la scelta di scrivere i testi in italiano ed inglese arricchisce il sound della band e finalmente arrivano i primi consensi degli addetti al settore. La stagione 2007-2008 è caratterizzata da una intensa attività live che porta la band ad esibirsi in Italia e Svizzera.
Alla fine del 2008, grazie alla collaborazione con Enrico Brizzi e Occhi Aperti, è stato pubblicato il primo videoclip della band tratto dal brano 1984. Tra l'autunno del 2008 e l'inizio del 2009, la band allestisce un piccolo studio di registrazione ed inizia a lavorare alla stesura dei nuovi brani che costituiranno un cd promo di presentazione per gli addetti al settore. In seguito al buon riscontro delle registrazioni alcune importanti realtà del panorama musicale italiano si interessano al progetto dei Sinclear.

A seguito dell'uscita dell'album 'Nothing Ever Happens' nel Marzo 2010, supportati da un nuovo management, nei mesi immediatamente successivi il gruppo colleziona una ventina di date in vari club della penisola, che fanno seguito ad una discreta critica apparsa su giornali di settore e sitiweb.

Al termine dell'estate Ciko lascia la band e viene sostituito da Marco Santagostino, gli ottimi risultati raggiunti e un nuovo slancio danno lo spunto per lavorare su nuovo materiale.
Nell'Aprile 2011, mentre lavorano alle nuove canzoni, i Sinclear vengono selezionati (tra oltre 600) tra le 10 band ammesse alle finali di un contest organizzato dalla Macbeth footwear, per esibirsi in uno stage secondario allestito al GroezRock 2011, festival di riferimento mondiale (giunto alla 20esima edizione), che si tiene ogni anno a Meerhout in Belgio.

The history of Sinclear starts just outside Novara (Italy) during the fall of 1999. The band started as 4-piece band, with Giorgio Ferrari on guitar, Luca Pagani on bass, Giovanni Tizzoni on drums and Anna Santoro as the lead singer.

The band immediately starts working on original songs, and in December 2001 records their first DI.Y. demo called “Via di Qua” (Away from Here): seven simple and melodic punk rock tunes whose recording took only 2 days. The demo was recorded by Diego Ruvidotti at DR Studio in Milan. All the copies of the record are sold out during the 2002 live shows, when Sinclear start playing all over Northern Italy.

In 2004 the band records, with Franco Fucili, their second demo EP, “Melodiazepam” and they start hitting the road and playing frequently as opening acts for well known Italian punk bands (such as Bambole di Pezza, Thee S.T.P., Sun Eats Hours, Pornoriviste…) During that same year the band becomes a 5-piece band by adding a second guitar (Mirko Valli). The songs get a more defined and powerful sound, without compromising on the melodic attitude.

Between the end of ’04 and the beginning of ’05 Sinclear enter Sonichrome studio to record their third demo, whose release is supported with an intense live activity for the whole 2005.

An important line-up change marks the end of 2006: Anna leaves the band and Cristian Di Leo becomes the lead singer. This gives the band new strength and Sinclear, in June 2007, are back at the Sonichrome Studio with Diego Cattaneo to record “Eat At Chef Sinclear”: eight fast, powerful and straight-forward songs. The band’s work is warmly welcomed by the music sector and by the audience. The 2007-2008 season is characterized by an intense live activity throughout Italy and Switzerland. At the end of 2008, in collaboration with the Italian writer Enrico Brizzi (Jack Frusciante has left the Band) and Occhi Aperti, the band shots their first videoclip, 1984; on top of that, the band builds a small recording studio where they start working on the new songs that will end up in a promo cd for the music industry, which is “rewarded” with the attention of important actors of the sector.

After the release of “Nothing Ever Happens” in March 2010, with the help of a new management, the band play around 20 shows in various Italian clubs, followed by a good response of the critics on music magazines and websites.

At the end of the summer Mirko leaves the band and Marco Santagostino takes his place. This change, once again, pushes the band with renewed energy towards writing new material for their upcoming album. In April 2011, Sinclear are among the 10 bands selected (out of more than 600) for the finals of the Macbeth Contest and play on Macbeth Stage @ Groezrock, one the world’s most important punk festival that takes place every year in Meerhout, Belgium.
